It’s time to break up with 24/7 food noise

Support for adults, parents and teens sick of feeling confused and overwhelmed by food

Virtual in NY, CA, and select states.

Hello! I’m Emily (she/her).

I’ve been in your shoes before. Constantly feeling overwhelmed by food and never able to get out of the internal tug-of-war. Struggles with food and body image can be isolating and I experienced that first hand when I was navigating my own eating disorder as a college student.

I believe that a healthy relationship with food and movement are foundational to a healthy relationship with yourself. You deserve to have both and I’m here to support you in figuring out what that looks like.

Understand the food noise that is running your life

It's not new. And it doesn't have to be louder than the rest of your life.

You've probably tried to figure out what your body needs for a while now. Maybe you’ve even worked with a dietitian before. But every time you end up in the same place: confused and stuck in the same exhausting cycle, again.

Our approach is different. We start by understanding what your food noise is actually communicating and identifying what fuels the cycles you are stuck in. You walk away with a greater understanding of what you actually need and sustainable, evidence-based tools that hold up in real life — not just in theory.

The confidence and trust you build means no more bracing yourself when hunger or cravings strike. Food and movement finally become a stable foundation you've always wanted — one that supports you living your life instead of running it.

  • At Embodied Health Counseling we focus on providing highly tailored, individualized support. Our caseloads are small as we value above all else the relationships we have with our clients. Working outside of insurance allows us to provide this standard of care, protect your privacy and determine what is appropriate for your care without insurance dictating our treatment plans as some plans only allow clients to see a dietitian 4-5x/year which we truly believe is inadequate.

Our practice is out of network with insurance which means that we provide superbills for clients to submit to their insurance instead.

We do have a limited number of sliding scale spots. You can inquire about these in your consult call if interested

  • We are an entirely virtual practice supporting clients in California, New York as well as Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey and Virginia.

  • Yes. Our practice can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit yourself. We can not guarantee reimbursement.

  • I love supporting parents, families and teens struggling with disordered eating and health issues.

My approach is holistic and offers teens the opportunity to meet with me 1:1, while also including their family in the healing process through joint or separate calls.

My goal is to equip teens with the knowledge, curiosity and supportive environments to help them thrive long-term.

  • Absolutely! As dietitians we are trained to support clients in navigating medical diagnoses like high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, diabetes, IBS, and so forth.

We choose to take a holistic approach where these pieces are supported while simultaneously exploring your relationship with food, movement and your body. We have found that these are often very connected and overlooked in the broader medical system.

  • Just like other medications can be tools for managing mental and physical health conditions, GLP-1’s can also be a great tool for some clients.

My role as your dietitian is to consult and support you in making informed decisions about your health. That way, you can consider all options available to you and understand the possible risks, benefits and mindset necessary for a GLP-1 to support you and not cause harm.

I focus on bringing curiosity and openness to these conversations while also creating space to explore any underlying body image distress, shame, loneliness, frustration and even stress that you may exist in your decision-making.
